THE JOURNEY OF AN IMMIGRANT
The journey of an immigrant is a profound and often challenging experience, filled with both hope and uncertainty. It begins with the decision to leave one's homeland to pursue own goals, or the desire for a fresh start. Leaving behind familiar surroundings, family, and friends, immigrants embark on a journey into the unknown, facing numerous obstacles along the way. I Sukhpal Singh the founder of SS Cuts NZ ltd (Established in February 2024). My journey began when I moved to New Zealand 9 years ago, and I came to New Zealand on a Student Visa. This was a big shift for me, I found the culture and environment of New Zealand beautiful. The first few years in NZ, was a time where everything was upside down, when facing meaningful decisions it is very easy to become confused. I was very hesitant about taking the first steps to further my education and begin my career, however I gained courage within myself by showing up everyday to learn, explore and connect. All I was carrying was an ambition with me on how I want my life to turn out but most importantly I wanted my parents to see me and feel proud of their son. Wanting to be a barber was always my passion, to be able to connect to people and be able to explore my creativity and challenge myself everyday.
Most Importantly I wanted people to remember me for my passion. Some accomplishments I have achieved throughout my journey so far are completing level 5,6 and 7 in Business Management and Commercial Barbering Level 4. I had a great time finishing my courses because learning was so enjoyable every day. Being a barber allows me to discover something new every day, whether it's from clients or fellow co-workers. I discovered my passion for men's hair care in 2023 when I gained my New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Barbering.
Whilst working in a well-known local barber in Tauranga NZ, I noticed a gap in the market of affordable, high quality men's grooming products. Since then by following my passion I developed my own range of Hair products. I look forward to meeting your barbering and hair care needs as well as filling your homes with my products !.
